Lesle D. Blackburn

My name is Mrs. Lesle and I am the founder and lead teacher here at Little Dreamers By The Sea. My career in childcare began nearly 17 years ago when I graduated from CSUSM with a degree in Psychology. A majority of my classes focused on child development and I have always had a strong passion for working with children. I have been very blessed to work with many wonderful families in our area. I have worked as a professional Household Manager/Nanny for years and got to be part of a startup at a very well-known local in-home preschool where I worked as the Assistant Teacher. Additionally, many of my Fridays have been spent helping local charter school students complete their homeschool work.

 

I am a caregiver, a nurturer and a teacher. I am also a wife, mother, daughter, sister and friend. I learn by observing and I am very intuitive by nature. I like to laugh a lot, smile constantly and act like a big kid when the time and place permits me to do so. Bubbles and parachute time are my favorites.  I love to teach and have acquired a great deal of patience from doing so.

Opening a top-notch preschool program in our community has been a dream of mine for some time now. To watch this all transpire seems so surreal but I know, in my heart, that later on down the road it will be one of my life’s greatest accomplishments. I am VERY excited about this journey and I feel so blessed that this has become my path. Little Dreamers has been open for four years now and is thriving.Thank you to the wonderful community of families who support me. I adore you!
